BRITISH MOTORS MUSEUM NATIONAL METRO AND MINI SHOW

Map

Description

Celebrate two of the most iconic British small car marques this summer at the British Motor Museum!

Welcome to the National Metro & Mini Show supported by Peter James Insurance, the main event of the year for owners of Metros, classic Minis and modern MINIs to come together and enjoy a great day out. We welcome hundreds of these popular cars every year to make a fantastic display outside the Museum. There really is something for everyone, whether you love everyday classics, weird and wonderful designs or special editions, you’re sure to find something you'll enjoy. We’ve got a show arena by the Collections Centre, with special displays and live commentary.

Our show is a big hit with families too! If you, your parents or grandparents owned a Mini or Metro, the displays are sure to bring back nostalgic memories. Tickets for the show include entry to the Museum and Collections Centre, giving you the chance to see over 400 more cars from our fabulous collection. Inside, you will find some of the most historically important Metro and Mini vehicles, such as the last Rover 100 produced, signed by almost 1200 people involved in Metro production. In addition, there will be the very first Mini '621 AOK', the very last classic Mini produced at Longbridge 'X411 JOP' and the Monte Carlo Rally winning Minis of 1964, 1965 and 1967, among many more, for you to see.

60 years ago, BMC released the Mini Moke. There had been almost nothing like it before. As a special tribute to coincide with this remarkable milestone, the Mini Moke Club has produced two new books which will both be available for the first time at the show: “Singapore to London Overland by Mini Moke” by Robin Dannhorn and “Moke: The Early Years”.

When you've worked up an appetite from seeing the displays, you can refuel yourself at the Junction 12 Café in the Museum, serving delicious meals, sweet treats and refreshments. Alternatively, you can find quick bites such as burgers and ice creams available outside, too.
