Description
The Vintage Motorsport Festival returns to Donington Park for a special day of automotive antiquity this summer.
Priceless and powerful machines from the Vintage Sports Car Club will provide thrilling track action and a glimpse back at a pioneering era of motorsport. The varied on-track programme will feature machines over 100 years old, as well as pre-war Grand Prix racers and classically-modelled vehicles from the ‘50s and ‘60s.
This year the VSCC enjoys its 90th anniversary, and a special highlight will be the Eldridge Mephistopheles Trophy Race for pre-1925 racing cars. This race celebrates the 100th anniversary of Ernest Eldridge's 1924 world land speed record, which was the last ever land speed record to be broken on the open road.
