Description
A selection of classic Standard and Triumph cars is on display.
The Standard Motor Company of Coventry produced cars from 1903 to 1963 and in 1945 it purchased Triumph, after which it produced cars under both marques as Standard Triumph.
The company eventually became part of Leyland Motors and then British Leyland. The Standard Motor Club was formed in 1973 to promote interest in cars produced by The Standard Motor Company and Standard Triumph and The Manchester Standard Triumph Group of the Club was formed in 1999.
